Auction Preview Jan 27th
Michael Bowman's 2pm auction at Chudleigh Town Hall next Saturday 27th January will include a signed Lowry print expected to raise interest in the region of £1,000-1,500. 'Station Approach' depicts the London & North Western Railway Exchange Station in Manchester during the 1960's, just before it was demolished. It is the pencil signature of L.S. Lowry in the margin of the print that gives it interest for collectors.
The jewellery is led by a French 5.5 carat old cut diamond solitaire in platinum, which invites bids of £15,000-20,000. A dainty Edwardian diamond necklace is estimated at £2,500-3,000. Two certified natural Ceylon sapphire and diamond cluster rings will be offered with estimates ranging from £1,200 to £2,000. Two ladies' bi-metal Rolex Datejust watches will also be on offer, each estimated at £2,500-3,000.
The sale is on view at Chudleigh on Friday evening 4pm-7:30pm and from 10:30am on the morning of the auction. For catalogues & enquiries tel 01626 324071 www.michaeljbowman.co.uk
