Sale Preview: November 29th 2025
Two Whitefriars 'Drunken Bricklayer' vases come onto the market for the first time since bought new in the 1970's. This distinctive design by Geoffrey Baxter has become highly sought after in recent years.
The standard 8" high tangerine example should attract bids of £200-300, whilst the rarer large 13" model in meadow green is expected to comfortably exceed hopes of £800-1,200.
The November 29th auction will include the usual good selection of jewellery and watches. Two certified Ceylon sapphire & diamond rings promise to lead proceedings, each with an estimate of £3,000-4,000.
A 4.07 carat colour change Ceylon sapphire & diamond cluster ring turns from blue to purple under incandescent light. The 4.78 carat example is a cushion cut stone with small diamonds to shoulders.
The sale is on view next Friday evening November 28th at Chudleigh between 4pm and 7:30pm and from 10:30am on auction day.
