Rolex Cellini Features in Wrist Watch
Collection May 23rd 2020
A collection of gents' wrist watches will feature in Michael Bowman's 2pm Online Auction next Saturday 23rd May. The most expensive examples, promise to be the boxed gent's 18ct gold Rolex Cellini with manual winding and the exotic Parmigiani Fleurier Automatic, each estimated at £4,000-6,000. An 18ct white gold Wyler Vetta has an attractive moonphase dial and hopes of £3,000-4,000. Several stainless steel Omega models will be on offer, but perhaps the most unusual of these is the military 'HS8' example, estimated at £700-1,000. A stainless steel Tudor Prince Oysterdate has drawn much interest and looks for bids of £400-600.
The jewellery is led by a Victorian certified natural 5.75 carat Sri-Lankan sapphire & diamond three stone ring which expects bidding in the region of £3,000-5,000, whilst a pair of oval emerald & diamond cluster earrings are available for £1,500-2,000.
A taste for early collectors' items is catered for by the square dial brass lantern clock by George Clarke of Whitechapel, estimated at £400-600 and the 14th century hammered gold noble of Edward III with similar hopes. A 17th century Welsh silk embroidery depicts the Judgement of Solomon and has a speculative estimate of £1,000-1,500. A modern screenprint in colours by Patrick Caulfield, 'Still Life With Ingredients' also hopes for bids of £1,000-1,500. For catalogues and enquiries contact the auctioneer on 01626 324071
