Auction Results: November 2018

Two items with an optical theme will stay in the memory from Michael Bowman's very successful final auction of 2018 held at Chudleigh Town Hall in November. By coincidence, both successful internet bidders live in New York.

A collection of 64 prosthetic eyes raised eyebrows when they sold for a multi-estimate £1,160!

A pair of German WWII U-Boat captain's binoculars by Benutzer, rose to £1,750.

Collections of paperweights and musical instruments including violins, proved very popular, but the sale was led
by the certified natural Sri-Lankan cornflower sapphire and diamond ring that exceeded estimate in selling for £5,000 to an intenet bidder from Kent.

Michael Bowman is now accepting suitable entries for his New Year auction at Chudleigh to be held on January 19th and will be back at the Town Hall for his usual Monday valuation afternoon on January 7th.
