Auction Preview September 28th
Michael Bowman's 2pm auction at Chudleigh Town Hall next Saturday 28th September will feature a 1930's French diamond solitaire ring. The 3 carat stone is claw set in platinum with further small diamonds to shoulders and carries hopes of £7,000-10,000. A 1.76 carat diamond solitaire of good quality dates from around 1970 and deserves interest in the region of £2,500-3,000.
A striking pair of natural Ceylon sapphire & diamond cluster earrings are each set with a central sapphire weighing approximately 3 carats within a surround of small rose cut diamonds. These come with laboratory certification stating that the sapphires are entirely natural in colour. Bids of £2,000-3,000 are looked for. An art deco style sapphire & diamond ring is estimated at £1,500-2,000.
An extensive watch section is led by the boxed gent's stainless steel Jaeger LeCoultre Deep Sea Master Mariner Automatic wrist watch. On a replacement green leather strap, this timepiece comes with its original guarantee paperwork dated November 1969 and is estimated at £4,000-6,000.
