Michael Bowman's 2pm auction this Saturday 27th May at Chudleigh Town Hall will include several collections of jewellery from private vendors and deceased estates.
A gent's 3.2 carat diamond solitaire is likely to be the star of the sale with its estimate of £8,000-12,000.
From the same Torquay vendor, comes a modern diamond daisy cluster ring in 18ct yellow gold with hopes of £4,000-6,000. The stones are of good colour and have a combined total weight well in excess of 5 carats. A Teignmouth home has yielded a 2.5 carat diamond solitaire, also of good colour, which expects bidding in the region of £5,000-7,500. A colour-change sapphire is one of the more unusual rings on offer, inviting interest of £3,500-5,000.
Amongst the militairia, there will be a Devon Regiment medal group awarded to Private Henry Tout (Trout). Estimated at £200-300, this group comprises the India Medal, Queen's & King's South Africa Medals, the 1914 Star and WWI War & Victory Medals. The medals are accompanied by supporting paperwork.
