25 YEARS OF AUCTIONS IN CHUDLEIGH
Michael J Bowman has been holding regular auctions at Chudleigh Town Hall since 1986, including antiques, ceramics, fine art, jewellery, militaria and collectors' items. Newton Abbot and the Teignbridge area are the centre of our operations, but vendors regularly consign items throughout Devon. Our weekly valuation day in Plymouth helps to cater for our Cornish client base.
ABOUT MICHAEL BOWMAN ; Michael originates from Northumberland, leaving school aged 18, to join Whitley Bay firm of auctioneers, J. C. Featonby. Four years of training culminated in admission by professional examination to the old Incorporated Society of Valuers & Auctioneers (ISVA). On moving to Devon, he established auctions in Chudleigh in May 1986 and holds seven selective sales each year containing specialist categories including; Pictures, Books, Ephemera, Glass, Ceramics, Metalware, Treen, Medals & Militaria, Clocks, Watches, Silver, Jewellery and Antique Furniture.
Valuation Days in Chudleigh & Plymouth
Michael Bowman is available for free consultation at Chudleigh Town Hall each Monday afternoon 2-5pm (except Bank Holidays). Vendors in Cornwall and Plymouth may prefer to call in to the Legacy Hotel (ex Novotel) in Plymouth (A38, Marsh Mills) on the first Thursday of the month 2-5pm. Verbal opinions of auction value will be given. No appointment is necessary and you will be under no obligation to leave items for sale.
